We will be judging these cards based on the abilities printed on the cards alone so unfortunately multi-card combos are off the table. This list will only take into consideration cards released before July of 2021. We’re going to be looking at the top 10 best fighting type cards in the Pokemon TCG. However, know that there is a lot more promise out there if you’re a fan of fighting type Pokemon. Unfortunately we won’t be considering any of these things for this list, so it may be lacking in popular cards. And they almost always rely on some kind of gimmick to get more powerful, such as a special energy or a specific scenario in the game. Most of them are reliable as counter picks to other popular decks. There are many great fighting cards that have found their way into the META of Pokemon over time, but I’m just going to be honest here for a bit. And there are the powerful fighting types that deal big hits for big energy with big HP. There are the cerebral psychic types that manipulate energy cards, other Pokémon, and damage counters to pull off unusual attacks. There are electric types that specialize in lightning fast attacks. For example, which Pokemon Type do you prefer to play? There are the hard hitting fire types that burn away energy when they attack. While it is easy to zoom out and say that the only objective in Pokemon is to hit your opponent harder than they hit you, it is a lot more nuanced than that. The Pokemon Trading Card Game thrives on the multitude of playable strategies. If you’re going up against a Lightning-type deck, you can use Mewtwo & Mew- GX’s Perfection Ability to copy the attacks of Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno- GX and keep the TAG TEAM trio safe from Lightning-type Pokémon that can hit it for double damage.Hello all you fans of the Pokemon Trading Card Game and casual readers. Of course, once you've powered up to use Trinity Burn, you also have enough Energy for the trio’s Sky Legends- GX attack, which hits three of your opponent’s Pokémon for 110 damage and then shuffles the TAG TEAM into your deck, preventing your opponent from getting a 3-Prize Knock Out. After doing this, you just need a Fire Energy and one other Energy of any type to begin using the trio’s Trinity Burn attack, which hits for an impressive 210 damage. You can then use Dragonite’s Hurricane Charge Ability to help attach Water and Lightning Energy to the TAG TEAM trio. To assist Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno- GX, you’ll want to get Dragonite out as soon as possible. Viridian Forest and Energy Spinner both let you search your deck for any type of basic Energy, so they will prove invaluable to get the proper Energy into your hand. The first thing to keep in mind is that Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno- GX's attacks require three different types of Energy to use (Fire, Water, and Lightning).

Once you get it there, though, this card can do some major damage to your opponent’s Pokémon.

Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno- GX is a powerful card, but it requires a bit of effort to power it up to its full potential. The Pokémon TCG: Hidden Fates expansion features the first TAG TEAM trio, and this deck is designed to take advantage of the power of that card.
